Conference educational programs have typically featured PowerPoint presentations with the speaker on stage displaying photos/graphics and informational slides. Great presentation format, but not the only presentation one acceptable.
The AZH Program Committee encourages presenters to vary their format, to keep things exciting, to think “outside the box,” etc. Zoo horticulture profession is unique—some of us have even been called quirky, unusual, passionate—maybe even distinctive. Presentations can reflect these flattering descriptors. As you prepare to submit your presentation, do not be constrained by what you have seen in the past. Think, "What would make this topic not only informative, but memorable?"
All presentation formats will be considered… PowerPoint, panel discussion, demonstration, storytelling, sermon... surprise us!
Deadline for presentation proposals is April 7, 2017.
