Conservation
AZH is very active in the world of plant conservation, both in-situ and ex-situ. A standing committee of AZH works on such issues as promoting Plant Conservation Day, reviewing and awarding grants for conservation work, and overseeing the awarding of the Chuck Rogers Conservation Award for lifetime achievement in plant conservation work. The Conservation Committee is currently chaired by Christy Powell of the San Diego Zoo. For more details on grant applications and other AZH conservation issues, contact Ms. Powell directly.
